Here's a guy with a typical 3rd generation big Summit. Actually looks like it has all the doo-dads - sear burner, etc. But, of course, lots of issues. Interestingly, he went as far as purchasing (or maybe getting under warranty) quite a collection of Weber replacement parts. Yet, he doesn't want to even deal with it now. It really tells a story of how these oversized, overcomplex grills seem to leave a bad taste after a while:

Probably found out how much it would cost to replace the rotted out panel inside the firebox.

Jon, it looks that guy went quite a ways down that rabbit hole and is hoping someone will bail him out.
