Amazing grill, you did a great restoration. I bought one just like it in 94. Ended up giving it to a friend in 2002when I was moving. Big mistake. I’ve missed it ever since. I’m always on the lookout for another redhead, I’ve found a few, but just haven’t pulled the trigger. I don’t even use gas anymore, even though I have a newer genesis on the patio. If you ask me this is the best looking grill made. Someday I’ll finally get one and put it on the patio as a trophy and reminisce about all the good meals I made on one.

I bought one like that at an auction about 10 years ago. That was long before I knew anything about this site. It needed burners and basically total restoration. Set it on treelawn for scrap man.

Very nice restoration. I still have my greenie which I bought new in 1998 and have restored it and changed it from a 1000 to a 2000, great grill.
