Seville cart for sale in my area. What are they worth?

Holy smoked. Value is probably in the hundreds. The real value of course would be if it had the original kettle and ash pan. IIRC, there are subtle differences between a Seville kettle and a regular one. But still, you could just drop a kettle in there and there's a guy over at WKC selling reproduction ash pans.

The hundreds??? This thing looks hideous to me. I personally would not want it in my backyard. I will see if the seller might take $20. I know the kettle that came with it did not have the legs mounts and had the welded on L brackets.

Looks like the seller is playing silent auction and is waiting for the highest bid to come in. Well not me. Crazy what some people are willing to pay.

I’d offer $50, it is going to need some careful restoration work. If it was in top shape maybe a couple of hundred but, top shape, it is not.

I think he is expecting offers in the triple digit range. Plus I have quite a few non grill related restoration projects lined up. I don't want to pile up more stuff.

Yeah, that's what I'd guess. An unrestored Seville Chariot (which is what this one is) with a lime kettle went for $2600 on Ebay. Granted, limes are pretty rare and highly sought after, but still.

Thanks for the link DaveW. The link you posted shows a winning price of "only" $510. And this was complete with kettle and in decent shape. Not a rust bucket like the one here on CL. Still high but not crazy high.

Ah, thanks. I remember that one now. The first auction was legit, those bids were real, but it turned out that the bottom of the bowl was trashed so they canceled and relisted.

So $510 for the cart with a rusted out kettle with holes in it. If the one you linked to just has surface rust that would clean up with a good media blasting, I believe im in the right ball park.

Fwiw, Chariots don't come up that often. If you aren't interested in it, I might post the link to it over at WKC

Dave go ahead and post it in the WKC. I would have not paid more than $20 for it anyhow. Some Weber collector might be willing to pay more and might have the matching kettle.
The CL ad is still up:

The ad is also on FB marketplace:

I wonder how many were built. I assume not that many. In my eyes it is not really an appealing item for a guy. I wonder who Weber was targeting with this grill?

Cool. I'll throw it up over there. No idea how many were made, but the target audience would have been the well to do types who wouldn't think of anything so crass as having a 3 wheeler on their patio. Woodard wrought iron is actually pretty collectible now.
