Rib rack

What is a nice affordable rib rack for WSM 18.5? There's not as much space as I'd like there to be, so A rack could be the cure.

Thanks in advance! 🤙🤙

Actually, I found I have more room just by coiling the rack/fastening with a wooden kabob skewer. Three on a rack. No sticking to the side of the holder rack either (rips the bark off).

I am planning on adopting method from this day forth! I don’t much like the bark loss associated with racks either!
Once again, Len brings up a very good point!

I have 3 different racks. A Big green egg,a Weber, and an off brand.
The Big green egg is pretty much my "first to grab" rack. It can be turned upside down for roast (so can the Weber). But the big green egg is just bigger.(It fits perfect in my 18 WSM) I think both claim to be stainless, but a magnet will stick to both. But in my opinion the Big green egg is just a better rack and made better. I got mine at Westlake hardware.

The Weber I got is half the price.

Then there is what I call the off brand.

I bought 2 of these over 20 years ago,and if I'm doing a whole bunch of ribs it's what I put on the lower grate. They work well but are hard to clean, even throwing them in the dishwasher (Dishwasher=hard work:confused:):)

So basically, from what I'm seeing in all the different racks and methods used, there's no limit to how you can arrange your ribs. As long as they're held stable and good smoke can get all around them, seems like it should be fine. Interesting

Thanks guys!!

One thing I would mention that likely applies to almost any rib rack... If you don't have a dishwasher they are a nightmare to clean. As a rib rack the one I have is fine and nicely doubles as a bridge for extra large briskets, but cleaning it is horrible. There are so many wires and hard to reach spots that doing it by hand is nearly impossible. I've contemplated getting a pressure washer for just that one task.

My first thoughts are the meat touching the ceramic would cook faster. Thinking the ceramic would be a big heat sync. But it looks like everybody that left a review was happy with it except one guy that probably would have a problem opening a bag of charcoal.
I would probably get one if i didn't already have more rib racks than I know what to do with.
