Loving the cyber q

I purchased a cyber q and did a packer brisket and pork butt over labor day followed by couple of racks of ribs later in the week. All meat came out perfect and pit control was great outside of the wsm running hot the first cook<heard the 22s do that>. My question is with the thermometer accuracy, when not in the meat I was getting 25 to 30 degree swings between the two grates. Is this normal? I don't have a decent instant read to compare it too but all the meat came out fantastic. On a side note I'm loving my cyber q, setup was a breeze, it's great to be able to measure temps on three things at once and even nicer to be able to do it without leaving the couch!
