KFC Dog Bowl Vortex vs. Indirect.

Last week we made KFC using Louisiana Chicken Fry and it was great. We used indirect grilling for that with a dome temp of about 400 on the performer.
Last night we did the same cook using the JJ with the dog bowl vortex.
The goal was to see which one got the coating crisper.
I would say that the vortex was the winner but not by much. The skin was a little crisper and the meat was just as moist as the indirect cook.
Either way it just really good.
Barb made some coleslaw and grilled up some of her garlic bread crumb corn on the bone on the gasser.
Overall a very simple but very tasty dinner.
