Kettle Pizza SSP rig

The setup:

1999 Weber Performer with Gas-Assist + 20 lb propane tank conversion + Genesis tank scale
Stok cast iron grate
Kettle Pizza Deluxe (which adds a 15" Cordierite stone and a USA-made aluminum pizza peel)

The Kettle Pizza had previously been atop my Copper Premium, but I thought about how nice it would be to have a table surface where I could keep the pizza peel and whatnot... Then the SSP showed up on CL about 2 miles from my house, needing only a new ash sweep to make it usable.

Once the new ash sweep was installed, I decided to try it out:

Next on the mods list... I may splurge for the Performer handles set from Grillhandle.com.

The crust was pretty awesome tonight:

Cool set up. I have a Pronto propane pizza oven. Once you have a set up like this, you never go back to the oven indoors.
 
Nice set up. Be careful with the plastic rollers on the lid bale. They can melt from the high heat. The KP instructions tell you to remove them. That is the reason I found a dedicated KP kettle.
 
Looks good JKim. There was a Kettle Pizza ring advertised locally the other day. Getting sorely tempted.....
