I fired up the Genesis 1000 for the baked potato and brussels spouts.

I usually don't bother with an internal thermometer in the Genesis but I wanted to see how it compared to the "indicator." I also want to cook the potatoes to Chris's recommended 210.

Got a nice T-bone from the butcher. I just cooked the one steak and let my wife have the filet side.

A nice bite.

That's a mighty fine lookin meal. Had almost the same thing last night so I think I can vouch for remote flavour testing ;)

Great looking dinner Dustin. How did the 210 degree potatoes work out?

Seemed like the perfect amount of doneness and it definitely takes the guesswork out of it. The other great thing is that potatoes will hold forever. This was a big step for me, actually having 2 sides. I typically try to skate by on what I call a side meat.

The steak is spot on! Sides, too. Have to try the 210* potato thing.

Having a gasser close by can make things real ez.
