You can’t let that one go. For that small of a cash investment you could at least take the firebox front to a sheet metal shop and see wha it would take to make a stainless replacement. For that matter, maybe make a small run and sell some! I bet Larry would be in! And, as had been noted, if it somehow is a lost cause, the grates alone are worth it!
