ATC is bringing down temperature? Help!

Recently got a Auberins for my 18.5" WSM. Here is the issue.
On the last two cooks, once I get it dialed in and everything is going good, after 1.5 hrs or so,
the fan I guess starts blowing harder to keeps temperature up and then blows flame out, so to speak.
I then unplug fan and open a vent at bottom and temperature will rise back up to my set point.
Plug it back in and then after a short while, it will start all over again.
Tried closing top vent to half or less, just to see if that would help, but no luck.
Should I bank briquettes higher at fan side to deflect blowing. FYI: I do start coals opposite side of fan.
Any suggestions?
THANKS

It does sound like too much air flowing. What's the cfm of the blower? You might play around with different value resistors in series with the blower to slow it down some. What Auber controller are you using? PID settings an issue?

Hard to believe all the views and no suggestions, but 1, thanks Darren.

Anyways, contacted Auberins and they were swift in response. Gave me new parameters to plug into it, so, I'll give that a go the next time I'm able to get my Smoke On!
