Because of rust in the cabinet, these grills get a bad rap.
If I may ask on this thread, I have an early 2016 E-330, which I purchased new in September 2016. Honestly, I've used it just a handful of times thus far and it has not seen the elements aside from when it is fired; I wheel it into our unfinished basement. Primarily, I take those actions because of what I read from you experienced Weber guys. What if, say, I wanted to move this to our main outdoor, unshielded deck and simply cover it. Would any preventive-maintenance steps maintain its robustness over the years? As it stands, I more often use our $237 Wal*Mart Grill Smith, which sits covered in the elements in between use. As I write this, I wonder why I treat the $600 E-330 like a classic. To that, I have no clear answer. Thx.
