Whats with the free Weber Gassers lately, another one popped up today.

Man, I had one pop up in my town of 10000 people and it was gone before I could snag it. It was a redhead genesis 1000 that need some work. If they had even put it up for 20 I think I would have gotten a chance at it. Some jackass probably picked up to take it sell for scrap. Usually they are at least a 2 hr drive away.

Same here. Got this one for free a few days ago.

And got a similar one without the side burner but better frame for $40 today. People here don't seem to like the old grills. I have even seen much newer gassers for $25 to $50.

Good find. I check craigslist in the Dallas area, but I live near Wichita Falls. I tried to buy a similar one last year from a woman there who wouldn't budge off 180 and it didn't have the side burner. I think the problem is that the air is typically dry enough that even a crappy grill will last ages. People don't realize how well made older Webers are.

Around here some people roll them to the curb the day after trash pick up so people get a chance to pick up a grill and use it.
It might be easier than selling, or just feel like giving something away to be used and not scrapped out.

People here do too. Sometimes I am amazed what people throw away. Some seem to have too much money. I check Craigslist, 5miles and Facebook Market Place. On marketplace there seem to be the best offers.
