Mmmmmonday Tri Tip

When the wife did groceries this weekend, she asked what I wanted. Since it had been a while, I asked her to get a Tri Tip. Didn't feel like grilling it Sunday night, so I did it last night.

SPOG (with some extra garlic powder because I ran out of minced garlic).

Two zone set up with a little Maine Grilling Woods Acadian Oak for smoke. Grilled indirect for about 15 minutes until it got to about 120, then threw it on the direct side and seared the sides. Ended up slightly more done than I wanted, but it was in the ball park so I'll take it.

We had mac and cheese and salad with it. No picture of the salad because I have priorities. I serve my TT topped with bleu cheese dressing because it tastes so dang good with it.

Oh, and yes, I sliced part of it with the grain. It was just a bit off of the end. The world didn't come to an end. :p:cool:
