Question for seasoned Flickr users

Bob Correll

R.I.P. 3/31/2022
When I post a pic from Flickr I just want the photo to show without the img, etc tags.
Example:

I can remove the tags, but it's a PITA.
These don't show for some Flickr users, but they do for others.
Thanks for any advice.

I don't but:

imgur has 4 separate "links" that you can click on, one of which is for "forums" (it even says that). No tags. Maybe flikr has options as well (and you're just not seeing them)?

The 'share' code that FLICKR gives you automatically puts that in. When I paste it into my post, I remove the unnecessary parts. I've colored them red (I put spaces in a few spots so the code would show):

[ url=https://flic.kr/p/24PhPPM]https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4721/40572920831_7627b8c1f0_c.jpg[/ url][u rl=https://flic.kr/p/24PhPPM]Untitled by [ur l=http s://www.flickr.com/photos/29421201@N06/]jeepdrivr[/ur l], on Flickr

All you need to post the image is the [ img], the [/ img] and what's in between them. Don't even need to use the 'insert image' icon. Just click the share URL in Flickr, copy and paste.

Here's your image without the tags. You can quote this post to see the code.

Thanks, but that's the problem Jim, I don't want to have to remove them.
Probably need to ask on the Pentax forum, most members there use Flickr and I never see the "extra stuff" show on their photos.

If you find out, let us know. I'm always up for removing unnecessary steps.

When I first started using Flickr when photo bucket decided to rip everyone off I could use the Download This Picture then select the size then do copy and paste to the forum.
Awhile back that stopped working and had to go to Share Photo instead to be able to post the picture.
Which gives you the tags which I hate.

Thanks Len, but been there and they're not talking about the same "tags"
I set my preferences to don't show tags, no help.

Rich, I remember when your pics didn't show the extra stuff.

Bob.... I don't use flickr but I tried it using the same procedure that I use for Shutterfly and the text you're referring to doesn't show when I preview one of my new posts. It probably will in this reply to you as soon as I make the reply.

That's an old pic. I just right clicked on the pic and copied picture address and pasted that in the Insert Image thingy uptop.

Edit: You have to remember they have Photostream and Camera roll. ( at least I do) Pics have to be switched to Camera roll to do what i did.
PITA sometimes , but still easier than dealing with ....

Thanks Tim, I'm understanding their methods better now.
I've never used camera roll, only photostream. Seems like a trade off, clearing the words etc, or making a photo public from camera roll.

What I found out about the Pentax Forum is that they have software to auto remove the extraneous stuff that I've been needlessly removing.

Bob.... I was rushed when I put the comment on earlier. What I did was open Flickr home page and click on the upload symbol at the top of the page, next to the bell. Then I dragged my picture directly from my camera chip on to the flickr photo page. Once the photo was loaded to Flickr I double clicked on the pic to open it and then right clicked on my photo and copied image address, then went to TVWBB Photo Gallery and clicked on the Insert Image Icon and pasted photo , clicked OK and completed my reply. Hope you can make sense out of this. Anyway, it works for me and is 10 times faster than PB
