If I use the octoforks I spin side ways, If I use the standard forks, I spin lengthwise.
Frankly, I don't notice that much of a difference, except when doing more birds (I can fit more of them sideways).
With the octoforks, I don't use butcher's twine, with the normal forks, I do

Really like the bird. It's beautiful!

Had to google nasi goreng. Well... now I know what it is. Please, 2 eggs on mine, too.
 
I like learning and trying new things. I also love Indonesian food. I had to Google nasi goreng as well. Looks and sounds delicious, as does yours Anne. The few recipes I looked at scrambled the egg and included in the stir. Both ways sound great. Your roto chicken looks delicious also.
