What model Q grill is this?

I cannot figure out if this is a Q120 or Q200. It has the flip trays and an 8500btu burner according to the placard on the back, but it doesn't have a raised lid or thermometer. Picked it up off OfferUp for $30 and it works perfect!

From my understanding:

Q100 didn't have the trays, mine does
Q120 had trays and lid thermometer, this does not have thermometer
Q200 had a 12000 btu burner, this is 8500

I don't think the 2xx has a 12k burner. The grill looks like a Q200. Simple way would be to measure the width of the grate

The Q in the pic is definitely a 100. The 200 fits on the same collapsible table. But if you look at the legs of the grill, they are sitting on the inside (smaller) grill mounts. It it were a 200, the grills legs would be resting on the outer mounts.

So it's a 100 with side tables? I have to think the tables can't be an ad on because the guy I bought it from was the original owner and when I folded the trays into the grill before taking it home he said ''oh that's how those things work? I always folded them over the lid..'' I would think if he added them on he would have known how they should be tucked away for storage.

When the model was out I saw them in the stores all the time with side tables. Obviously not now since it's discontinued

I have never seen nor can I find any proof that the 100 ever came with side tables.

I will have to qualify and say that I actually have a 1200, so I can’t say for sure about the 100 having side tables. I wonder if the 120 did while the base model 100 did not.

Prior to calling it a Q1XX Weber had only one model "The Q" which then became the baby Q and then the Q1xxx family. The original Q came with side tables standard

I have to agree with Jon. The grill; regardless of its age, is in GREAT shape! Just looking at the lid tells me it was hardly ever used. You could turn around and sell the collapsible table for more than you paid for the table and grill!!

So far it been a great little grill! Hope to year a few more years out of it. This is my first Q and am really happy with it.

I had to stop at Ace Hardware this morning, and I took a minute to take this picture of their Weber Q display. Looks like the Q1000 (almond/"titanium" in rear) does NOT have the side tables, while the Q1200 (cool red in front) does:

The other differences are that the 1200 has an electronic starter, thermometer and I believe a higher hood. Seems like well worth the extra $30 Ace is asking...

This is confirmed by the chart Chris posted as a sticky in this section that shows that this is how the 1000 and 1200 are offered. Don't know if back earlier the Q100 may have had side tables, at least as an option, or if you had to pony up for the Q120 model.

Weber says that Weber Q came out in 2003. I don't have catalogs for 2003-2004.

The 2005 catalog shows two models:

  • Weber Baby Q (8500 BTU, 189 sq in, no tables)
  • Weber Q (12000 BTU, 280 sq in, with tables)

The 2006 and 2007 catalogs show five models:
