Smoked cube steak???

Hey guys, I have some venison cube steaks I’ve thought about trying on the WSM. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks.
 
Hey Joe, My pops mentioned this forum to me and I figured I'd throw this recipe out there. I am a avid hunter and LOVES me some Venison. We actually just had a sausage fest hahaha last weekend and I made 40lb's of the 200 lb's of Venison sausage of a 70/30 venison to ground pork butt ratio. Anyways that's another topic...

I tried making this Venison Parmesan dish and it was PHENOMENAL!

If that doesn't sound good I also made this Cocoa chili for super bowl and it was just as damn good imo. Let me know if you want that recipe instead?


If your going the steak route we usually just do salt , pepper, finely chopped garlic, and olive oil. If you have Cavenders seasoning a lot of hunters swear by that as well. Cook them indirect until 135-140 and then a quick sear for color!

Venison is tricky because if you over cook it the meat can become super tough. Low and slow is the way to go!!!
