2005 is not that long ago, but as I post this in 2017 I think you'd be hard-pressed to publish a grilling guide aimed at "girls" today. Still, there's some good info in here for beginning grillers no matter your gender.

Something cool about this brochure is the signatures on page 1:

  • "Betty" is Betty Hughes, long-time Weber employee who was described in 1995 in the very first issue of the Weber Grill Out Times newsletter as "Weber's cooking expert for 28 years" which places her as joining the company in 1967.
  • "Marsha" is, I believe, Marsha Capen, the editor of Weber Grill Out Times and managing editor of Weber cookbooks. In 2005 she left Weber to join an outside advertising/marketing agency and continued as managing editor of Weber's cookbook program until 2016.
  • "Christina" is, I believe, Christina Schroeder, a former marketing VP who worked on many of Weber's ad campaigns.
  • "Edna" is Edna Schlosser, Weber's legendary R&D product tester and wife of Erich Schlosser, the inventor or co-inventor of so many innovations including the One-Touch ash removal system, the Smokey Mountain Cooker, the Smokey Joe, the Jumbo Joe, Genesis gas grill, Flavorizer bars, and many patents that go into Weber grills.
  • "Jeanine" is, I believe, Jeanine Thompson, a marketing and advertising specialist with Weber since 1999 specializing in events and promotions.
  • "Brooke" is, I believe, Brooke Jones, corporate VP of marketing, a 20+ year employee, and guest blogger on Weber.com.

LOL! I was thinking it was going to be something like: Let him buy the grill he wants and he'll cook for you all the time.

Hi, do you know what is the difference with the booklet that has a main cover with the flowers instead?
Thank You!

Wow, joined 5 years ago and now a first post! Welcome, Ivan!

I'm sorry, I don't understand your question. What booklet with flowers on the cover? Can you provide a link or a photo?
