the most I've spent so far is ~23/lb for dry-aged porterhouse.......$3-8/lb @ restaurant depot is more my style

Nope, nope and more nope. First of all I've got to have bones in my prime rib roast. Secondly, I doubt I'd spend a thousand bucks regardless of what kind of income I had. Sure is pretty though.

No thanks. Cost aside, I like some nice marbling but that is excessive IMO.
