Hello everyone, I live in the Birmingham area of Alabama, and have been grilling and smoking for over 40 years. For a long time I used inexpensive grills, a couple of gas grills, and a Brinkman smoker. Then about 20 years ago I got a 22" Weber kettle, and my grilling and smoking really improved. I acquired a Lodge Sportsman's grill maybe 3 years ago that I also like very much. Recently I've been debating getting another gas grill for those times when I don't have much time and just hitting a button to fire it up would be nice. But I'm really partial to charcoal. Also been contemplating a WSM, but right now my son is living out of state and my daughter is a vegetarian so I really don't need to smoke much larger quantities of meat than I can do on the kettle.
