pages 2 & 3 in my new book. I attacked page 1 with a fury

It's time to quit pouring makers mark out of the maraschino cherries....speaking of which, I'm thinking about flavored (soaking fruit in) vodka again.

I've been making some decent progress, mostly using my pimsleur tapes & duolingo, I just found another free app: https://app.fluencia.com/ from a spanish-dict webpage I had open. It seems decent so far. I fired up the old (2010/2011) Tell Me More software & didn't give it much of a chance, it seemed a little rigid.

Pimsleur had their program on sale for half price so I got it even though I'd already got the first 2 (of 5) levels on MP3. I like the MP3s best so far (like the intros/outros, & how they keep playing - the app requires a button to be pushed every 30 minutes, & it just shuts off at the end, no ending message), the activities on their app didn't seem to involved but I haven't played with them much either.

Tiny Cards is OK too but I'm not doing a lot with it.

I'm still far from able to have a decent conversation.

I finished level 1 of 5 today (thirty 30-minute programs per each level in pimsleur), still have the writing exercises to do I guess........................so I'm not all the way done with L1 but it's getting easier and more interesting. You're only supposed to listen to 1 30-minute program per day but I'm doing up to 8 on some days (4 or 5 today). Many times I've had to listen to the same lesson, 2-4 times, and I should probably go back because I don't know everything. It felt like an accomplishment anyway, today, when it said this is the end of level 1 (was skiing listening to the MP3s).

I'll kick it way ahead & listen just for fun sometimes.

Beers are a big part of their lessons!

"Me gusta la cerveza" (I like beer) or "yo puedo pagar lo" (I can pay for them)

One interaction had a guy say he was going to drink 3 beers in only 8 minutes
(not sure I've done that since trying the beer bong that showed up my friends' univeristy house ~17 years ago

"un cerveza cuesta siete pesos, dos cuesta catorce"

    Me gusta las cervezas.

Puedo compro muchos cervezas buenas! Podemos bebemos lo!

I've been working on this a little each day, sometimes a lot.

Like 2 days ago, I had an unexpected trip come up & spent almost 7 hours on the road - I listened to Radio Mitre for about 5.5 hours. (I understand very little)

I've been watching South Park en espanol, I switched my facebook feed to Spanish, same with the verbal cues in Waze (phone/driving gps)

duolingo is one that gets the most use, same as the pimsleur mp3s.
