Corn Chowder & Meatloaf

The temps are starting to drop a little so it seemed like a good time to whip up some corn chowder. Thought I'd make a meatloaf while I was at it.

Dueling kettles.


Meatloaf ingredients.


Corn chowder ingredients.


Meatloaf is ready to go on.


Meatloaf went on the 18 with KBB and some apple chips.


Getting the corn ready.


Rendered down some bacon.


Pulled the bacon out and added onion and celery.


Then came the stock and potatoes.

Meatloaf after 30 minutes.


At this point I added some SBR mixed with chipotle adobo mixture.


Corn, cream and hatch chile sauce gets added to the chowder.


Meatloaf is done.


Plated.


This was a nice hearty meal with plenty of leftover chowder for another day. Thanks for looking.:cool:

Yumm! Like a good corn chowder! Like a good meatloaf sandwee to go with it! I like to add smoked chicken to the corn chowder good stuff.
 
We are fans of both meatloaf AND corn chowder. I generally do the meatloaf on a plank...

Pat both of those dishes look so yummy. I love to smoke my meat loaves also. Now that corn chowder is awesome, like Rich said haven't done that but its going on the list to do. Thanks for sharing two awesome cooks.
