2005 genesis gold burner removal question

One thing I've learned in these forums is to not try to unscrew the bolts that hold down the burners in the firebox. Knowing that what is the best way to get the burners out as it seems like they are stuck in there? Is it just gunk and other stuff or is it possible a previous owner tightened them down?

Just gunk and stuff. Take the manifold off, then you will be able to wiggle them free.

Have fun!

No they are shouldered so the can't be tightened down enough to hold the burners in. Just years of gunk holding them in they will come out just talk nice to them and wiggle gently:rolleyes:

I've had good luck using a large flathead screwdriver wedged between the firebox and the burner end and then gently turning the screwdriver so that the stuck burner slides off
