Have 2 large Big Green Eggs and have wanted a WSM for a while now. Just found a great deal on a 22 inch WSM on Craigslist. Lots of mods to it and a great price (Thanks Reid if you still follow this forum). Has an upgraded fire ring/box. Gaskets on the top and door. Upgraded door and a BBQ Guru! Used it last weekend to smoke some sweet tea brined chix legs with cherry wood. Guru held it at 250 for 2.5 hours. Might have gone a little longer but was heading to the beach for a tailgate and needed to beat the traffic. Re-heated the next day on a gas grill, sauced them and they came out great!

This is a great resource and can't wait to get deeper into it. Brisket coming this weekend!

Welcome! I've been to 8 Mardi Gras' (and 12 Oktoberfests in Munich, Germany)!

How did those "sweet tea brined chix legs" come out? Sounds interesting...

My sister-in-law used to live in Chalmette, she was flooded out. She lives somewhere out by the airport now.
