Still Smokin' and the 14" prototype

Hey everyone,

Glad to see everyone still creating crazy recipes, cooking old favorites, and coming up with new ways, methods, etc for cooking up a storm.

I picked up a nice shoulder yesterday and planning on doing a tried and true smoke on it with a couple different sauces or two.

I was digging out some old stuff, shuffling around a few things in the garage the other day and I came across an old prototype 14" smoker. I somewhat "forgot" I had it, out of sight out of mind, I guess. It still had the old makeshift water pan and the door I had cut down from an 18 with a pair of tin snips.

Maybe I'll grab some pics if anyone is curious to details..

Have a great weekend everyone!

I'll dig it out this weekend. Nothing greatly remarkable about it. Lots of tooling marks where the metal legs and grill straps were nibbled out of stock. Hand drill for a thermometer. The water pan was from a Weber torch that had very little capacity. I guess I could scoot over to the Dollar Store for a stainless bowl to use in it.
