Unusual flavor but I had to eat so..........

Just a little Lemon pepper - 4 minutes on, before the flip:

Flipped! (and then covered with a couple slices of pepper jack & the bread went onto the warming rack to toast) (((another 3 minutes - I killed the burners, left the chicken on for another minute or two while I grabbed a plate, I stuck a thermometer in it & it said 166 but I had to check....not having a lot of experience with bscb.

I think I'd rather just S&P or a taco seasoning on it, but this wasn't bad. I'll try something else before I try lemon pepper on it again though :)

Boy, the service is none too fast, it's been all day, I'm still waiting!;)

Round Two!

I didn't follow the instructions from ATK exactly but close enough to know they're good! I figured out how to make it Extra Crispy.....'cause I forgot one step (has to do with 3T water if you're interested) so I got half original, half extra-crispy.

Here's a link to the atk recipe.......... if you can see it. I print them to pdf pretty much immediately because the recipes are only visible for a short time without a subscription.

Thanks for sharing that ATK recipe, Clint. Made it tonight and it was a huge hit with everyone. No finished pics, but here's the chicken. And by the way: CI skillet is shinier than ever.

Glad you liked it! That breading is perfect, I think. I portioned it out & put a couple breasts worth in the freezer............and then I pulled them out this morning & had it for lunch & dinner again. I can't wait to make this for a crowd. I have people coming over on Saturday (have to work on Sunday :( ), I imagined cutting it into chicken nuggets, or breast patties (sliced crosswise like in the atk recipe). Seems like it'd be fun & easy to do at a family reunion too.

What I did different from the recipe: I didn't use any paprika, only cayenne. I liked having some "original" and extra crispy so maybe I'll not add the water to the dry ingredients until the first third are breaded. I'll also probably pulse the spices together to get a finer blend of sage..

as with bbq sometimes is, this was even better the next day. Before I tore into it today I was thinking I'd play with the spices, but forgot about that after the first taste.
