right on the grate

So I wanted some bacon today but didn't want to mess around much. So heated up the q a bit and then threw some bacon on the grate. Sear marks on bacon looks cool.
anyway it cooked quickly as I don't like my bacon cooked much. Tasted great and just took minutes. Going to be my way of cooking bacon from now on.

Sounds great, George! I haven't grilled bacon yet, my preferred method is in the oven at 425º. I'm a very strong proponent of cooking bacon any way you like, as long as you are cooking bacon! :)

Sounds good to me! Just keep an eye on that drip tray - I imagine it'll fill up pretty quickly.

Yep, drip tray is checked often. The q lower body needs a good scraping and the burner holes need a reaming out again. Always something to do.

I tried bacon on an old Genesis with Grillgrates, and it worked pretty well at low to medium heat. Have done it several times. I leave the grill on
for a bit afterwards to burn off the bacon grease.
