LOL! That reminds me of that old joke about a husband telling the wife (after she burned the food) that the smoke alarm is not a timer...

Let me guess, the first plate was cooked on a $20.00 Walmart grill using Match-light charcoal, and the food was put on prematurely?

Actually, my family loves burnt dogs and burnt bologna.
