RAIN. Meat Loaf for Dinner I Hope

Early afternoon it started to rain along with the wind. Now I was going to use the performer at the far side of the patio where the blue top is showing.
I had taken out the ground beef, turkey and pork early in the day along with everything else I use along with the #5 sauce. All made up and ready to go.
Rain stopped so we got it going, coals ready meat loaf on with some apple wood for the smoke. Indirect for 1 ¼ house or 155*.

Potatoes cooked on gasser 1 hour and now meat loaf ready to come in.

Fire up that charcoal! No fire hazard after that downpour. Meatloaf looks great.

Yep things are good again fire restrictions have been lifted. We've had about 7-8 inches of rain in a week. Where the fire was in the town next to us they are having massive flooding and landslides. Nothing left to slow the water down. A double whammy for those poor folks.
 
Bummer about the rain Barb, but that meatloaf!!!! I've got to do a meatloaf, I keep telling myself, and I forget. Hope when I do, it comes out looking like yours

Would love to share we get that almost every day, it's our monsoon season. Two days ago we got almost three inches in one hour. Monsoon hangs out until end of August.
 
There's nothing much better than a smoked meatloaf on a rainy day. That one is Top-Of-The-Line!
 
Yum! That meatloaf looks tasty! One advantage to all that rain, it looks like it keeps Rich's little blue pool full :)

Great lookin' meatloaf, Barb! That reminds me - I'm gonna have to do a planked meatloaf, myself! We are still plaqued with heavy rain, high winds, and the like. It has really interfered with my grilling and smoking, for sure...
