Protecting my cover from the sharp edged corners...

Hey all - what are you using to keep the edgy corners of your grill from shredding your covers?

I have a new cover for my Web, but don't want it to get chewed up from the sharper corners. The PO used some stick-on velcro stuff, but it's not holding on very well.

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance...

I'm concerned about the same thing. I'm using one of the new lightweight Weber Summit 400 Series covers on my old Summit 450, and it's not a perfect fit because the old Summit is wider due to S/S condiment baskets on the front with sharp corners. I'm worried they will eventually puncture the fabric. Haven't come up with a solution yet. Maybe some sort of corner bumper that I can press on before covering but comes off easily when grilling.

Try a pool noodle or foam pipe insulation. You'll need to customize them (to your grill shelves) by cutting to length (or slightly longer) and glue on end caps. :D

I like the pool noodle idea. You could even fillet it so it will "grab" the edge of the shelf ..
