Just decided to join this board! I've been a Weber fan since my dad bought a Bar-B-Kettle in 1971. Since then, I've owned many Weber kettles, starting with a Smoky Joe in 1986, an 18" OTS in 1994, a circa 1962 18" kettle, two 1990s 22" One Touch Silver kettles, and eventually, dad's 1971 Bar-B Kettle. Sadly, I sold most of them before a recent move (what was I thinking?!). I now have a 2006 18" OTS, a 2009 22" OTS, and one Weber Genesis 1000 gas grill. Although I attended BBQ-U with Steven Raichlen, I do not consider myself to be great cook. Still, nothing better than firing up some charcoal for a tasty supper. Looking forward to learning some good recipes from you folks!

Greetings from a fellow badger-stater.

This site is a great resource to improve your grilling / smoking / outdoor cooking of all sorts.
Also great for "inspiration" when you want to try something different
