Repairing 2010 damaged Genny 310

Hey folks, picked up a Genny in great shape. Bottom plate inside rusted out but no worries. Gave it 100% scrub down and it came back great.

The shroud is broken though in a semi circle where the lid opens, so it swings dangerously far back.

Thinking of how to repair this?
Purchase for 150 (a steal) so warranty won't cover it as I'm not original owner.

I'd rather not get another cookbox for another 150.
Can I use some metal adhesive and a giant washer to displace the spot where the lid catches?

Thanks in advance.

I just got weber to agree to send me a new lid due to oxidation on a 2001 Genny silver B. I certainly wasn't the original owner. They didn't even ask. As long as you register it in your name, that seems to be all that matters.
