Just a quick post of last night's chicken

Last night I fired up the 22" kettle to cook some chicken the wife picked up while grocery shopping. EVOO, salt, and pepper on the skin and a couple of handfuls of cherry chips and away she goes!

40 minutes later, they had that beautiful cherry wood coloring and rested.

I almost forgot to take a picture of the inside. This was some of the best chicken that I've grilled. You can see the juices on the plate. Mmm.

Thanks everybody!

The chicken looks great...The kettle could use some dusting on top :)

Chuck, she definitely needs a little TLC. I've planned to do a little work on her over the past couple of weekends while I was smoking something. But, somehow, every time I've come up with some reason or another not to do it. I've got a 4 day weekend this weekend, so maybe you'll see a post in the near future of her clean.

Good looking chicken Dan, making the neighbors jealous. 😀 I once did a turkey with cherry and it had that bold colouration.
