Like a kid on Christmas!!!

I picked up Chris' 26'er, and I just couldn't wait to christen it! :)

Here she is with the rest of the Weber family:

Fired up a chimney on the Performer, then moved it over to the new grill (wow those baskets look small in there!):

Seasoned up some skirt steak with salt, pepper and DP Fajita'ish:

Went hot/fast over direct heat a couple minutes per side (two pieces over the coals at a time):

Sliced it up, then served alongside some brown rice (not pictured):

The steak was tasty, though could have used a soak in a tenderizing marinade. The 26er was definitely overkill for this cook, but I wanted to get a feel for how it runs, and using the baskets for different set ups. It's going to work out great, and I can see it becoming a go-to next to my performer!

See y'all!

Congrats on getting the 26er. Your cook looks great and I'm sure there's many more to come.

Congrats on the 26'er Rich! You'll love the space!

On a side note, next time you cook some skirt, try slicing it long ways (against the grain) instead of short, see what you think about it :D
