    SD 13 In Shuffletown

SD around here is always on the day before Memorial Day. It gives you a reason to NOT go to the race. and you can still go to a cookout on Monday. If you're not still full from my shindig, that is!
The star of the show! 2 5-6 pound butts, seasoned with a now out of business BBQ place's rub about 20 miles from here. Too bad, they had great brisket!

And me getting silly after refilling the WSM about 10 the next morning.

And, they came off about noon on Sunday after 16 hours in the bullet!

Wrapped in foil, they went into a cooler for about a 4 hour rest.
The menu. Yeah, my dads a doctor! I inherited his handwriting!

So much chicken, I had to use 2 grills!

Thighs on the kettle, with the free Weber briquettes, drumsticks on the gasser. The Weber briquettes did quite well!
I had planned on getting shots of the food and the crowd, time got away from me. I did get this pic of some fun with sparklers!!

All in all, another successful Smoke Day!
Lagers and pilsners and ales, oh my!
