The SWBR's Buffalo Sauce is the bomb! Post up your cook tomorrow :)

Nice wings, Chuck! Glad to see I'm not the only brave soul who grills barefoot! :)

Go, Gigantes, go!

Chuck I love your vortex! Way to make it happen. The wings look fantastic! By the way Kim says you definitely have a future as a foot model. Get an agent! Make it happen! JK my friend. Great looking meal and congrats on two in a row. We just swept God's own team the Cubs. But as you know what happens in May doesn't matter. Its what happens in October. We struggle there.:)

Great improvisation there, Chuck! Wings look great too!

Having thoughts about using the 14.5" WSM charcoal ring for a vortex of sorts after wrapping it in foil first.

Those wings look perfect. You have to try SBR Sweet Chili wing sauce. I usually do half in SBR Buffalo and half in SBR Sweet Chili.

Thanks Chuck for the idea!! I'm going to try the Hillbilly Vortex in my Smoky Joe
I was going to cut up a dog bowl, but I have the fire bricks already to go.
Did the wings crisp up?

I don't think the Giants are going to see October baseball this year. But hey...after yesterday's game, at least it will be an interesting season :)

Never barefoot when using Lump. I stepped on a popper that was about the size of a pea, and it took at least 10 seconds to dig it out, all the while burning away...

The wings were BBQ Crisp, not Fried Crisp. I would guess the pit temp 325 maybe 350 and the firebricks make for a good block, so that you don't burn up the wings

Thanks everyone for the kind words, not the first nor the last time I'll cook wings like this again
