I went through two gas grills before landing on a Weber Genesis Gold.
Major design faults in each. Mostly it was how they dealt with dripping grease.
The Genesis has served me well for ten years and after realizing it isn't well suited for searing meat..
It has been doing duty as a rotisserie. I cook eight to ten prime ribs (18-22LBS) a year as well as six to eight bone in pork racks.
I rebuilt it a few years ago and it is still going strong. The second hero is the rotisserie motor. That thing is nuts! Ten years and hundreds of hours spinning big offset chunks of meat!
Its just starting to make sounds indicating a soon death. Hats off to Weber for not getting cheap with the gears.
