It had slipped my mind that I still had about a third bag of Weber briquettes I had bought when they were first available.
I put 8 in a char basket and lit 'em up for 3 brats.

Pretty spicy, but darn good!
I was glad I remembered there was some of my butterscotch concrete from Culver's in the freezer from the night before.

I really like the Weber charcoal, smells good while burning, burns long, and low ash.
It reminds me a lot of Stubb's, but larger in size and a lot more expensive.
Lowes has Stubb's 14/lb bags on sale for $7 through today May 19th, I think I'll stock up.

That Stubbs has to be a one day sale because when Barb and I were at Lowes yesterday to get the RO it was $9.99. I really like Stubbs too but my little shed is stuffed now no more room:(
 
Well folks, that's how it's done. That looks so delicious Bob. Wonderful photos. Definitely going to check out our Lowe's today. I've wanted to try Stubbs Charcoal for a while now. Like the rest of the board, I'm still waiting for my free bag of Weber.
 
That looks fantastic Bob! Now that the sun is finally shining here and I finally have pulled the kettle out of hibernation from the winter here in Seattle that has just seemed to end, your bratchos have inpsired me to get to cleaning it and get to some outdoor cooking.
 
Nice looking nachos Bob. I never thought to add brat's to nachos, German/Mexican fusion.

That is very interesting to me Bob. I would have used a half chimney. I like the minimalist approach. The nachos look fantastic. And the pictures look like they belong in a magazine. I've never seen Weber charcoal in these parts. I'll have to do some investigating.

Sometimes I wonder if you mid-west guys have better pork than we do. I was in Memphis a few years ago, and the local stores sold a brand of bologna called Starlings that tasted better than any bologna I'd had in years. There's some good sausage out that way too. We have the best livermush though. :)
