Stubbs Briqs 6.99 @Lowes. 5/19/17 ONLY


 
Stubbs are my favorite briqs so I will def be picking some up. Less ash, same heat, better tasting than KBB IMO. I still prefer lump, but these are really really good.

Sounds good to me!! I like lump too but can't get it to burn totally. Maybe I'm not "compacting" it enough so there are gaps in the minions and the entire basket won't catch. Probably 99% user error (as are most things in life).

I'll have to pick up a bag or two today on my lunch break!
 
Stubbs is my favorite briquettes and I just picked up some from this sale. I use Stubbs exclusively in the WSM 22.

Try inserting a few briquettes into the mix.

I place a single layer of briquettes on the bare grate before adding my lump.
