PID Help - Overshooting beginning temp

Did an overnight smoke of a butt...working out awesome. Once the temp settled in, everything has been working out great. With that said, when I first fire up, I overshoot the temperature by 50-60 degrees.

I'm running a Vision Classic B with a new gasket and bottom vent sealed off. Below is my smoke and and settings. Any ideas on what I should change?

Kevin,

Are you cooking on a Weber product? If not, you might want to look for another site since this one is mostly Weber enthusiasts. Is a Vision Classic B a Weber product?

Sorry, but that's really not the case for the heatermeter forum. If I had to guess, I'd say weber owners might be 50% or less.

As for dealing with startup overshoot, I'd go into the web config and dial back the "startup max" option for the fan down to 60% or even 40%
