Beef prices to fall for summer grilling


 
Got whole beef rib eye roast for 3.97 a pound.

I shop at Fareway and Sav-A-Lot.

I have a couple of packer briskets in my freezer I got for $2.99/lb. earlier this year. At least 1 is scheduled for a smoke on Mother's Day along with a couple of pork butts ($0.99/lb) and maybe a couple racks of St. Louis cut ribs ($1.99/lb).

I can only imagine prices getting much lower. The full size upright freezer is damn near full.

Save-A-Lot sells brisket?
 
I won the brisket lottery today at Costco :) USDA Prime Brisket $2.99 lb. I snatched up the only 2 that would fit in my fridge. Oh why did I ever get rid of my freezer?
