Uses for warped planks?

I have a few planks (cedar and sugar maple) that have been used for salmon or trout and have quite a curve to 'em. They could probably be used as raid gutters, but I'm wondering if I could instead cut/break them up to use as smoke wood. Obviously, since they probably soaked up a bit of fish scent, I'd only use them when smoking fish, but I think that'd be better than just chucking 'em in the campfire (because then the s'mores would taste like fish) or throwing them away.

If they're warped badly enough that you CAN'T keep using them for fish then, yes chop/use them for smoking.

yeah, bust'em up and burn'em
