While driving to Costco on Sunday, I pulled up alongside this sad Weber kettle lid in the median of a busy street here in San Jose. It looked very rough, but I thought if it was still there when I drove home, I'd pull over and pick it up.

It was VERY rough...I think someone shot it up with a BB gun.

Good news is that member Shaun Ramirez took it off my hands. Will be interested to see how it cleans up and what he does with it.

This post is hilarious, and would I be off-base if I assumed you were trekking to Costco with the intent of buying some meat to throw on a grill or BBQ of your own?

Okay; you're the moderator so now I wish I could just simply delete my post

OK Chris, now you have to find the rest for restoration! I'm still sorry I missed a "Texas longhorn" model almost forty years ago! My buddy said it was almost mint! I'd be using it now!
Sorry, Good Luck Shaun!!

You sure are dedicated Chris, risking life and limb to save a beat to snoot kettle lid. ;)
I see your gas prices are somewhat higher than here, I just paid $2.06 a gallon.
