Smokey Joe Platinum

Found this on Craigslist for free. Added a three hole air vent on bottom then added dog dish with holes to block ash instead of placing ash pan underneath. Side holes near top of bowl came standard with the Smokey Joe Platinum (original, discontinued and now called Jumbo Joe). Below is the test using the new bottom vents showing times and temps along the way.

Nice ! But I think you should have put the holes closer to the bottom of the dish. But using it will show you if you need it it or not.

The holes don't look like they are at the very bottom. Looks like there is some space left. But again, if you don't run into any issues with the ash reaching or covering the holes then my comment can be disregarded.
