I have been reading a lot negative reports on the newee style GAA grills about clean up being difficult and not getting very hot.
So can you replace the new style grate system with a old style grate and flavorizer?
By looking at the specs on the two it looks to be do able.
Maybe George would know this.
Thanks

I would read up on all the other posted discussions first. Yes, they can be converted but the cost would be crazy. I suggest just looking for an older model.
just be certain, the older ones did not heat up well either. They had issues with blowing out also. Some of the pics I have seen of the newer one in use does show some sear marks. The only issue with the new one on clean up is the oil and grease on the bottom. Some foil can easily cure that. So either get an older model or a new one, both have their issues. I certainly hope I find a cheap newer model so I can compare.
