I've got the opportunity to buy a new firebox and lid for a S-670. I can get both for $250. Is it worth it to build it piece by piece? I'm thinking about an outdoor kitchen setup, no cabinets or side burner, just the grill.
 
It seems that finding the other parts may be so hard to find or expensive that it may make it not worth the trouble. But than, with your being in Germany I don't know what you can or can't find.
