My friend Adam Fischler visited this joint as part of a three restaurant BBQ crawl. This was his second favorite--Central City BBQ was first, McClure's BBQ was third. Adam had a "smoked black brisket burger" with excellent brussel sprouts. "Not sure how 'black' got in there," says Adam, "just good smoked brisket, but good. Annie's was a pulled chicken sandwich, also very good."
Adam continues, "One more thing to love about Blue Oak is the photo that stares at you when you pee."
