Jim from Maine. Now here's an environment bad for anything metal - salt air, fog, temperatures all over the place year around. Believe it or not had two Weber Qs last 10 years each. Finally bought a Spirit SP-310 - we'll see how it does. I mighty even fire it up in the Winter, no snow to speak of so far (Jan 3).
 
Weather never bother many here Jim.... Welcome aboard!
With no knowledge of the Weber Q's, i can only advise you to look deeper into the charcoal line of Webers

I like to see fire burn my meat.
