I received a notice today from Google that starting in January, the Chrome browser will start displaying warnings for nonsecure webpages that collect passwords...like all of our forum pages because they contain password login functionality.

So I sprung for the $45 annual cost of an SSL certificate for tvwbb.com. You can now login knowing that your password is being handled securely between your browser and the forum server.

If you notice any weirdness, please let me know. I've noticed that embedded photos from Photobucket trigger a "mixed content" security warning when using http:// in the URL. Using https:// in the Photobucket URL solves the problem.
