What about orange skin?
On its own or 1/3 orange rest lemon skins?
With basic recipe how quick is the infusion process with grain alcohol? How long with vodka?

I do it with calamondins, the tiny sour oranges I grow. With sweet orange I would definitely recommend a mix with lemon, Meyer lemon, Seville orange, or another unsweet citrus as sweet orange alone I find too cloying.

Imo (others might differ), I don't see the need for weeks of steeping. Alcohol is an efficient solubiliser of flavor volatiles. Several days in grain alcohol -an up to a week - or several more than that if using vodka is more than adequate. One can go longer though. Certainly won't hurt and one simply gets to it when one has time.
